Starting points, not rules
The built-in task list uses common, conservative intervals (an air filter every 3 months, smoke alarms tested monthly, an oil change every 6 months or 5,000 miles). They are starting points: your owner's manual, the maker, or local rules always come first, and you can change any interval. See the full list.
